Tuzie Stats

Today I loaded up the babies and headed to the doctor four the big 4 month check for our girl Tuzie. She does all of the fabulous tricks like rolling from tummy to back, tracking me as a move around the room, coo, jabber, giggle, smile and reach and grasp toys. She is just the best baby ever. Her official weight is 16.2 lbs (80%) and 24 in. (50%).

Tuzie Cat Tuesday

Our little yummy baby girl is just growing up super fast. Tuzie loves to watch the Beans and K-Man run laps around the house and play. in fact she actually keeps a very close eye on K-Man because he has recently caught on to how easily she startles. K-Man's new favorite game is to sneak up as quietly as a lion stalking it prey on poor unsuspecting Tuzie and let out a ferocious growl with a pounce. I nearly have to peal her off the ceiling every time. Where he learned this I do not know, maybe it is a natural big brother instinct to that is meant to keep baby sisters on their toes.

How to train you Toddler...

To be fair I have no idea. It is kind of a blind leading the blind kind of situation around here. K-Man seems to be ready for some potty training, but what do I know? I could be wrong but when a kid says I pooped and brings you a diaper It's time right? We will see how this goes. Day 1. Introduction to Potty, Wish me Luck!

Growing like a Weed

Well our Little Tuzie is growing fast. At three months she has several amazing tricks like sleeping through the night! She also giggles and coo's but perhaps her finest trick is that the rolls from tummy to back and according to Cookie from back to tummy though I have never witnessed this amazing feat. It is so fun to watch her grow we are gratefuyl for her every single day!

Tuzie Tuesday!

Well it has been a busy couple of weeks for us Polywogs but that does not mean we did not have our camera's ready. K-Man enjoying some couch time with Tuzie, its funny because she is growing so fast. Every morning when she wakes up she looks bigger but when I see her next to K-Man it puts everything into perspective.
A quick family photo opt at the pumpkin patch, there will be another post on this so stay tuned..

And finally our feature
Miss Tuzie!

Cutest pumpkin in the patch!

Blessed

Today we blessed our Baby Girl Tuzie We could not be any luckier to have her in our family. She brings such a joyful light and presence to our family. We have been blessed in so many ways the moment she came into our lives. For this special day we had so much to be thankful for. Cookie gave a beautiful blessing and we were so fortunate to have good men to stand in the circle with him on this important day. My Dad Bampa flew in from SLC to be here with us, Uncle Ryan, Jeff (Cookies Best friend), Brian (Cookies work best friend) and the bishop lent their Priesthood to help perform the ordinance. We missed our brothers who are spread out all over the US and our Grandpa BK in Afghanistan but we know they were there in spirit. Tuzie's beautiful Blessing gown was designed and made by my talented sister in law Becky, I teared up when I first saw her in it. Such a darling little girl in such a beautiful dress sown by a wonderful Auntie. It was a beautiful gift.

Daddy's Girl

It was love at first sight
(BTW this phot was taken BEFORE I got to hold her, I'm just say'n)

I know I have said this before but dagnabbit I was really hoping that my daughter would look like me, not the cute girl version of Cookie.

She even got Cookies amazingly fast growing and super thick facial hair

Well there seems to be a new top dog around here and I will let you know that it is not me. It seems that carrying a baby in your tummy and nursing them does not necessarily make you their favorite. But you cannot blame our sweet Tuzie for this Cookie is pretty sweet. These two are inseparable. They have long chats about politics and watch college football together, they also bond over a tall bottle of breast milk in the wee hours of the morning while mommy is asleep. Almost as soon as we found out that Tuzie was a girl Cookie was wrapped around her little finger. Throughout my pregnancy he would come home from work with little pink outfits and accessories. Cookie has always been somewhat of a baby whisperer and can seem to calm and soothe her when nothing else will work. He is also fearless when it comes to baby care things like changing diapers, giving baths and trimming finger nails (which I dread). I am so grateful for my beautiful girl but feel even luckier that I have such a wonderful husband and that Tuzie has such a great Dad.

Tuzie Tuesday Delux Edition

2 months old!
Currently weighing in at 12lbs and 10 oz and 22 1/2 in long
(Officially making her heavier then the Beans)

Well for a weekly feature I have failed. It is not for a lack of great pictures (because this little cutie can strike a pose) but more so an exhausted Mommy. Being a Mother of two is suprizingly much more hectic then that of a Mother of one. I think it is the lack of sleep. Two major things that effect sleep around here is K-Man has now decided he does not need naps when infact he most certainly still does and the other major thing is Tuzie now sleeps through the night about 7-8 hours. The bummer with this is almost the exact same night K-Man started to wake up for 2 to 3 hours during the middle of the night. I think these two little rascals are conspiring against me. Any who back to why you have logged on without further delay I give you Tuzie Tuesday!

Tuzie Tuesday!

This week at our pad has been a very uneventful one. Cookie, Jo Momma and I ALL had the stomach flue so between running to the bathroom, lysoling everything our poor babies were left to fend for themselves. OK not really but there was a A LOT of movie watching and K-Man finally likes to hold his sister. Now whenever I pull Tuzie up into my lap K-Man says "My turn hold Harper" He seems most interested in holding her when she is screaming so either he wants to comfort her or he really likes loud squirmy creatures, both could very much be true.

Tuzie Tuesday!

First day at Church
Our Little Tuzie is now 5 weeks old and time is flying by much to quickly. In fairness to Glama and other family and friends who do not get a chance to snuggle up to our sweet girl we have started our first feature on Poolside called "Tuzie Tuesday". The intent is to post the current happenings and best pictures of the week. Hope you enjoy!

Snuggling with Mommy and Big Bro, to be fair this is about as close as K-Man gets to Tuzie. He is interested in her but since she does not share his enthusiasm for trains and Toy Story he generally keeps his distance. He does pop in throughout the day to give her a kiss on the forehead and occasionally he will rat out her naughty deeds to me.

And last but not least Tuzie at her first afternoon at the pool! It was a proud day at the Polywog pad. She did not actually touch the water but she definitely was the cutest in her swim suit.

Auntie Jo Jo!

Snuggling up with our favorite Auntie Jo Jo

Feeding the ducks from a "safe perch"K-Man and his BFF
We were so lucky to have our Auntie Jo jo in town for two weeks and we had her almost practically to ourselves! She recently returned home from her LDS mission to Cordoba Argentina and had some gap time before she headed up to school. K- Man was in love with Auntie Jo Jo, in fact she maybe the coolest thing since toy story and if you know K-Man you know what a big deal that is. Every morning he would run out of his room calling her name and then the two of them would play and giggle way the rest of the morning. We love you AJ Jo and cannot wait till Christmas when we see you again!

The Tale of Two Tuzies

How angelic are these two? they are radiating light!

remembering the Alamo
Glama meeting her name sake
I am a toad I have been meaning to post this for four week now and I am just barely getting around to it. One of the perks to living out of state is when you have a baby you get Glama all to yourself for a week. This is a rariety for any Phrogbottom when you consider how many there are of us, especially when you are a twin. It was amazing to have here, every morning she would shove me in the shower and help do the laundry. We feasted on yummy no fuss dinners like grilled cheese and ice cream and ate way more hamburgers in a week then I will ever own up to. At night we would curl up on the couch and watch a movie. The best part was however was watching Glama with little Tuzie they just melted into one another. K-man is also a huge fan he loved racing around the house with her and feeding the ducks. We love Glama and cannot wait to see you again whe you come out for Tuzies blessing day.

Happy 2nd Birthday to the coolest Pollywog we know!

Proving that the sun never sets on cool

First Hair cut

First Bike Ride

K-Man's big 2nd birthday cake

Ya so I know its late, but to be fair we Polywogs have been very busy. This being said we are going to stand by what my dear Grandmothe Smith used to say about birthdays..." If your card gets there 6 months before your birthday its on time, if it there 6 months after it, its early for your next birthday". She was a wise women who was a wealth of knowledge and deserves her own post but for now we will celebrate the birth of our first Wog, K-Man. 2 years ago on July 30 this sweet little soul came into our life and has kept us laughing ever since. He runs, jumps, climbs and loves to chase and tease our dog Beans. He is a master of the English language and repeats everything you say, especially the stuff your really did not mean for him to hear.

  • Some of his best tricks are sining "Old Mc. Donald", "The Itsy Bitsy Spider" and any song off of Yo Gabba Gabba.

  • He can name all the basic colors and shapes

  • He understands time out a little too well

  • He can name major body parts and tell what hurts
  • He still loves to give hugs and kisses and tells us when he is happy
  • He is still a champion eater and will eat anything you put infront of him.

We love our little Tiger and are so grateful to be his parents, Happy Birthday K-Man!

"Have you seen this doggy".

K-man is growing like a very smart little weed and is comprehending at an amazing rate. Last night I was watching 2012 and K kept coming in and out of our room and occasionally stopping to watch parts of the movie. Daddy, being brain dead from speaking in Church and teaching Nersey's Sunday school lesson for her; didn't realize that letting a two year old watch a movie like this was not the best idea.

But there is a part in the movie where a little doggy is gently tossed over a wall into the arms of the girl in the picture, well K was so uncertain about the fate of the little doggy that most of last night, despite repeated viewings of the ending of the movie, showing that the doggy was in fact okay, K, was still concerned. He kept asking "What happened", "doggy okay", "doggy oh-no" and we would try to console him telling him that the dog was okay and happy. Well his concern has carried over into today he is still worried. So if you see this dog, please make sure that it is okay so K-man can get some sleep tonight..

Hoogle Zoo

What good is a trip to Utah without a stop to Hoogle Zoo? Well if you are as big of an animal enthusiast as K-Man it is unimaginable. Our original Zoo date had backed out on us last minute but fortunately my good friend Elizabeth and her adorable 9 month old son Thomas were up for the adventure. Which was awesome, our only regret is that we are not able to catch up with them more often. They are always up to last minute fun!
This was by far the most exciting trip we have yet had. Which also explains the lack of pictures there was no way he would hold still for a minute. K-Man was so excited he could not be contained in a stroller and spent the entire trip running from animal to animal using his finely tuned animal calls. His favorites by the way were the free roaming birds and the gorgeous leopard above, both of which he tried his best to chase. It was so funny to watch the giant cat pace back and forth next to the class and have little K-Man next to him growling and pawing at him through the glass.

Good times with Auntie Itsy

One of the best parts of visiting family is not only catching up with loved ones but watching how your kids interact with with their Aunties and Uncles. Auntie Itsy officially became a member of our family about one month after K-Man was born and boy does he think she's great! It helps that she is always ready to transform into Bumble Bee or color pictures by candle light. She is super fun it is a shame we live so far away!
